MY SAIL was started by a bunch of sailors in the Pacific NW, so we have a special affinity for what they do. But make no mistake about it — we are super excited about ALL of sailors around the US who are passionately working to bring multihull sailing to youth.

The NW Region is centered mostly around Hobie Division 4 and the Corinthian Yacht Club of Seattle (CYC). Hobie Div. 4 sailors provide the volunteer support vital to keeping the programs going. CYC partners with us to offer camps out of the Shilshole Marina.

The NW Region focuses primarily on:

  • Multi-day sail camps
  • Regatta scholarships
  • Boat leasing
  • Thursday Night Racing

Tim is the lead instructor for the Pacific NW camps. He is a school teacher when he is, well, not teaching!! He has a heart of gold, and twenty years in recreation, aquatics, & sailing. That and a decade of running a summer camp for youth have prepared him for bringing fun to the learning process.
